Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the aboutme.video platform operated by Digital Disruptors SL, a company incorporated in Spain ("AboutMe.video", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Description of the Service
AboutMe.video is a business-first platform where companies publish job offers on their careers portal and share links with candidates to receive professional video introductions before scheduling interviews. Candidates create professional video profiles by recording in the browser, and may share them publicly or privately. Creating a candidate profile is free; Candidate Premium is an optional paid plan. Businesses may use Business Free or paid Business Starter and Business Pro plans. Some features use automated tools, including artificial intelligence, as described in these Terms.
2. Account Registration and Obligations
To use the platform, you must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, if higher) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You must create an account by providing truthful and accurate information. Business accounts may use any valid email address for registration and team invitations. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity conducted under your account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized use. You agree not to misuse the platform, including by uploading unlawful content, impersonating others, scraping or reverse-engineering the service, circumventing plan limits, or interfering with its security or operation.
3. User Content and Intellectual Property
You retain all intellectual property rights to the content you provide to the platform, including your professional video (recorded in the browser) and your resume. By providing such content, you grant AboutMe.video a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, distribute, and create technical copies of such content as necessary to operate the service, including applying a watermark to videos and using automated tools (including AI) to transcribe, analyze, summarize, or transform content where you use or benefit from those features. You represent that you have all rights needed to provide the content and that it is professional, lawful, and does not infringe third-party rights. AI-assisted outputs (such as resume suggestions, video summaries, or drafted job text) are provided for convenience only; you are responsible for reviewing them before use or publication.
4. Profile Visibility and Job Offers
Candidate profiles may be set to public (visible in the talent directory and searchable) or private (accessible only via direct link or by authenticated recruiters). Recruiter job offers may be public (visible in the job directory) or private (shared only by link). When a candidate applies to a job offer, their profile URL is shared with the recruiter and an email notification is sent.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Candidate Premium subscriptions and Business paid subscriptions (Starter and Pro) are billed through Stripe in USD, EUR, or GBP based on geolocation. Candidate Premium unlocks optional features such as profile analytics, activity alerts, resume optimization, and Premium support. Business subscriptions may be associated with your company account; the company administrator manages billing and payment method, and plan limits (such as seats and a monthly cap on new candidate video views: Free 5, Starter 50, Pro 200) apply at company level when your account is part of a team. Active job postings and candidate search are included on every Business plan. Starter and Pro also include analytics and Premium support. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no pro-rata refunds are issued unless required by applicable consumer law. Existing subscribers may retain their original pricing (grandfathering) as shown in billing. Prices and features may change for new subscriptions; we will give reasonable notice of material changes.
6. Account deletion
You may set your candidate profile visibility to private in Dashboard > Settings > Privacy if you want to stop appearing in the directory without deleting your account. You may also permanently delete your candidate or recruiter account from Dashboard > Settings > Account, subject to any subscription, billing, or team requirements shown in your dashboard. Account deletion is permanent: it removes your profile, video, resume or other documents, and associated data from our systems (except information we must keep to comply with the law). If you are a candidate, download your video from Dashboard > Video first if you want a copy.
7. Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including regarding availability, accuracy of AI-generated content, or fitness for a particular hiring outcome. AboutMe.video shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. We are not responsible for hiring decisions made based on information viewed on the platform, including AI summaries or resume suggestions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the courts of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules.
